Last updated: October 19, 2026
Wordori was previously named Lexi U. This Privacy Policy applies to the app under either name — no change has been made to how your data is collected, stored, or protected as part of this rebrand.
1. About This Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Bread Studio ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Wordori ("the app"). By using the app you agree to the practices described here. If you have questions, contact us at support@wordori.com.
2. Information We Collect
iCloud sync:
- If your device is logged into an Apple ID, your word data is automatically synced via iCloud (CloudKit). No name or email address is collected or stored by us — only an anonymous iCloud identifier is used
- If no Apple ID is present on your device, your data is stored locally only and is never transmitted to any server
App content data:
- Words you save to your personal collection
- Your word lists, definitions, and favorites
- Word and list counts used for free tier limit tracking
Purchase data:
- Subscription status and purchase history, managed by RevenueCat. An anonymous identifier is used — no personal information is linked to your purchase record on our end
App activity data:
- Basic app usage signals (such as last session) may be recorded by RevenueCat for subscription management purposes. This data is not linked to your personal identity
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Sync your personal word collection across your devices via iCloud
- Manage your subscription and enforce free tier limits
- Improve the app experience
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use advertising frameworks. RevenueCat, our subscription provider, may record limited app activity such as last session for subscription management purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
Wordori uses the following third-party services which may collect and process data according to their own privacy policies:
- Apple / iCloud (CloudKit) — Used to sync your word data across your devices, identified only by an anonymous iCloud identifier. Apple Privacy Policy
- RevenueCat — Subscription and purchase management. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
- Free Dictionary API — Dictionary data provider. Content is sourced from Wiktionary under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license. Free Dictionary API
5. Data Storage and Security
Your word data is stored securely in iCloud via Apple's CloudKit framework. Access is restricted to your Apple ID — no other user can access your data. If you're not signed in to iCloud, your data is stored locally on your device only and never transmitted to any server.
We rely on Apple's industry-standard security infrastructure for all cloud data storage and transmission.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
You can delete your data at any time in the app: go to Profile and tap Delete All My Data. Upon deletion:
- All your saved words and app data are permanently deleted from iCloud
- This action cannot be undone
- Local data is cleared from your device
- Your Wordori Plus subscription is not cancelled. To cancel it, go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad
After deletion, you can keep using Wordori and start a new collection.
7. Children's Privacy
Wordori is intended for general audiences and is not directed specifically to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information without your consent, please contact us at support@wordori.com and we will take steps to delete such information.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location you may have rights to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (in the app, go to Profile and tap Delete All My Data)
- Withdraw consent at any time
To exercise any of these rights contact us at support@wordori.com.
9. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict of law principles. By using this app, you agree that any disputes relating to this policy will be resolved under applicable local law.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
